singing

i speak to this girl from another site and she often sings to me even though shes like 30 odd, so0 for a change i sung to her today and she said iw as good. i'm now thinknig of phoning people and maybe singing to them more i dunno, jsut so i know if i'm any good to be a lead singer in a band. anyway whats the best way to train your voice to get good?

I sing all the time. By all the time I mean at home, at work, walking to/from work. And by sing I mean out-loud-everybody-and-their-dog-can-hear-you type singing. I don't know how good I am as some people say i have a brilliant voice - Had a job presenting Karaoke's and on a slow night I'd have to do 4 or 5 numbers myself before I could get anyone else up. One night we had a lock-in at the pub and I sang through about 3 discs worth of stuff(about 2 hours of songs) and everyone said it was good. However other people say i have an awful voice(mainly my close friends) but it could be because every time i see a Karaoke I *HAVE* to sing!! and it detracts from our drinking time..I'd love to have singing lessons and stuff but just couldn't afford to indulge myself in lessons..oh well Pop Idol 2 here I come

I have an OK voice. that means i can carry a Spice Girls song

Sereiously tho, the worst singing experience i had was being turned down for the Choir at school. The best singing experience i had was a year later when we were singled out to sing and she asked me why i didnt try out for choir. I told her i did. I will never forget the look on her face

She didnt invite me to join tho. But by that time i had realised we had to give up 3 lunch hours a week for it. No thanks!

Back on topic, I'd love to train my voice again but i cant justify the cost because i wont use it. I know some teachers will put you in local performancies but thats not me. And i'm not giving up my businesses for a potential singing career (not to mention that said career would fail). So i content myself with singin at home. Mum gets used to it. Or she will eventtually

even I can carry a spice birds song - it isn't really a claim to fame!?!

BTW - that means that they suck, not that you do!
