Awwwww hun hope you feel better soon

A few years back I had salmonella (don't ask me how they told it was that but let me just say ewwwwwww)I remeber thinking I was going to die, after a week of not eating anything and losing a stone in 3 days, when I did start to eat I started being sick again The Dr said that the salmonella bug stays in the system for a long time.

i always get food posoning every week after getting a kebab from my local kebab shop each week. i've now decided its not worth it as much as they are nice coz the next morning my stomach hurts like hell and it makes you wonder how unhygienic they really are, especially after my sisters mate found a ciggarette butt in one of his.

Whilst miserable at the time, last time I had food poisoning it lasted 10 days during which time I lost over a stone.

Best crash diet ever!

I'm back at work today - after a stomach bug ripped through our house at the weekend - 48 hours of 6 people taking it in turns to be ill!
I still feel like I've been kicked in the stomach - but I'm just so glad it's over!

The Dr told me that the samonella bug tends to stay in your system for quite sometime, and basically anything you eat it attacks and continues to make you ill for weeks if not months after. That's why babies/young children and older people have to be so carefull.

I was still not able to eat "solid" food untill 3/4 weeks after the first symptoms (had to rely on soup) and I actually got it from a tin of Tuna.

Bleurgh! Them dolphins'll do it to you every time

I had food poisoning once after being to a McDonalds. Thought I was dying the next day so I know how scary it can be and wouldn't wish it on anybody.

Thanks guys - luckily I'm feeling a bit better today, no sickness or dodgy belly, just feel like I've done ten rounds with Mike Tyson!

Hoping I'm over the worst of it, still too scared of eating solid foods so here's to good old vegetable soup
