Well, now I know there are a few people on here interested in games, I can start posting games threads.

E3 has just finished (for non-gamer-types, E3 is a huge convention where all the big games announcements are made and stuff) and during the show, Nintendo shocked everyone by revealing the new Zelda game.

Now, previously everyone (including the supposedly in-the-know Gaming Press) thought the next Zelda game was going to be a sequel both in gameplay and visual style, to The Wind Waker. The shock is that it's not. It couldn't be further away from it.

It is infact going to feature an adult link, in a fully 3d, extremely detailed world (in a style similar to the demo they used to show of the Gamecube hardware before release). The trailers and pictures, which you can see Here, look simply amazing. Great stuff.

So, it looks like it will be similar to Ocarina on steroids. What more could an adventure-rpg fan want? Battles while riding a big, fast horse? Cool, because Nintendo have implemented that. In the trailers, Link is seen riding a horse that looks suspicously like Epona, and he actually battles while on the horse (against enemies that are riding Boars). Cool, or what?

So, any other Zelda fans in the house? I'm willing to bet there are.
